Photography has been my passion for over 4 decades. For the most part self taught, augmented by workshops in the late 80's and early 90's with Bruce Barnbaum and John Sexton. An evolving creative journey inspired by the masters of yesteryear and their contemporaries.
Although drawn to the grand view, be it an expansive landscape or architectural facade, my focus has increasingly tended to the more intimate details within the scene. By composing to exclude distracting elements, my intent is to draw the viewer into the subtleties of the scene. Color, light, movement, patterns and texture - the intricacies of architecture or the artistry of nature.
In essence, my vision is to convey a sense of tranquility, to capture a moment in time in an ever changing landscape or urban environment.
